2026 Vietnam Photo Tour

INTRODUCTION
This country is one of Asia’s most spectacular and most vibrant places for travel and landscape photography. It offers beautiful scenery, fascinating culture, and colorful ethnic people. This photo tour is a mix of landscapes, street, culture, and people photography. Vietnam must definitely be on your “to photograph” list because of its charming splendor.

Start our day with a dive into Saigon City's dynamic pulse. Focus on capturing candid moments and the expressive faces that define urban life in Vietnam—starting with Chinatown & Thien Hau Pagoda, which is a temple dedicated to the Chinese sea goddess, Mazu. The interior features colorful roof decorations depicting scenes from nineteenth-century life in a Chinese city. Moreover, the most well-known interior design work, which dominates the main altar, is the three statues of the ‘Lady of the Sea’.

Then we will continue our journey to Moc Ha. We will participate in “water lilies” harvesting with locals and photograph one of the most beautiful southern signature images, featuring workers and local women wearing the iconic conical hats, “khăn rằn” (a black-and-white checked scarf), and “Áo Bà Ba” (traditional Vietnamese southern outfits). Return to Sài Gon, then take a short flight to Nha Trang.

On arrival at Cam Ranh airport, travel to Phan Rang to photograph shepherds as they graze their flocks during a breathtaking sunset, using the golden hour to its fullest potential.

We will continue our journey further to central Vietnam, where more opportunities for travel photography await us.

ITINERARY HIGHLIGHTS
September 12: Saigon (Official Start)
Please plan to arrive at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City before (or at) noon.

Upon arrival, you will be met by our guide and driver and transferred to Long An Province in the Mekong Delta. Here, you will have the opportunity to observe and photograph the vibrant river life, including fishing and water transport. By late afternoon, the wetlands offer tranquil, atmospheric settings — ideal for capturing golden-hour light and sunset compositions.

September 13: Moc Hoa, Saigon Cityscape
In the morning, join locals in harvesting water lilies and photograph one of Southern Vietnam’s most iconic scenes: workers and women adorned with traditional conical hats, the distinctive khăn rằn (black-and-white checked scarf), and Áo Bà Ba (classic southern attire).

After returning to Saigon, we will explore the city’s vibrant streets through our lenses, concluding the day by capturing the skyline illuminated at sunset along the Saigon River.

September 14: Saigon, Tuy Hoa, Phu Yen
Early in the morning, take a short flight to Tuy Hoa. Upon arrival, we transfer to Northern Phu Yen to observe the intricate process of traditional coracle boat making.
By midafternoon, we will go to Hon Yen, where we will track anchovy fishing boats from striking aerial perspectives with our drones. The day concludes at O Loan Lagoon, capturing its tranquil sunset reflections and the graceful silhouettes of local life along the water.
September 15: Phu Yen, Doc Let
Begin the day at dawn as the first light illuminates the striking basalt formations of Ganh Da Dia Cliff. Continue with aerial perspectives, using drone photography to capture the rhythmic movements of Hon Yen’s fishermen at work.

By midday, after hotel check-out, we depart for Doc Let, where we stay overnight.

September 16: Hon Khoi, Phan Rang
As part of our Photography Adventure, each tour includes at least one extraordinary, off–the–beaten–path location, and here it is the Salt Fields of Hon Khoi. These shimmering ponds in Khanh Hoa are among the most photogenic in the world. The interplay of workers, salt mounds, and reflective pools creates scenes that feel both tropical and arctic, at times bordering on the surreal. Later, we continue to Phan Rang, where we will capture shepherds guiding their flocks across the landscape at sunset, making the most of the golden hour’s breathtaking light.

September 17: Phan Rang, Nha Trang, Da Nang, Hoi An
Begin the day in Phan Rang, photographing the dunes at first light, then return to the hotel for breakfast & rest.

In the afternoon, we witness and document the intricate craft of green net making. Then transfer to Cam Ranh Airport for a short flight to Da Nang. Upon arrival, continue to Hoi An for hotel check-in and rest.

September 18: Old Town’s Timeless Beauty — From Dawn to Dusk
The UNESCO World Heritage Site of old Hoi An was once the busiest port on the South China Sea, ruled by the Champa Dynasty for 14 centuries. Today’s shooting begins at a local fishing village, where nets wriggling with silvery fish glinting in the morning sun are raised from stilt platforms. Catch the colorful morning market on the way back. This afternoon, we will head to the rural village in southern Hoi An. The day ends in the sedge-grass fields, where the harmony of local activities offers a peaceful scene for your lens.
September 19: Hue Imperial City, Lanterns on the River
Start our day by capturing the lively atmosphere of the beachside fish market at dawn. It's a scene brimming with energy, offering dynamic shots of local life, bustling commerce, and aerial perspectives if a drone shoot is possible. Take your leisure time in Hoi An Old Town. After checking out of the hotel, we will take a spectacular coastal drive to Hue, stopping en route at Lap An lagoon for minimalist compositions before continuing to Hue. In the afternoon, golden light awaits at the Hue Imperial City, where professional Ao Dai models pose among the ancient walls — an extraordinary setting for travel and fashion photography. At dusk, the Perfume River becomes a stage for lanterns floating gently downstream, their glow illuminating both water and faces.

September 20: Hue’s Living Heritage
The day begins at sunrise, as I photograph fishermen casting vibrant nets that create striking patterns across the water. After breakfast and some rest, we visit a traditional paper-flower village to document the delicate artistry and vivid colors of this heritage craft. By late afternoon, we move to Chuon Lagoon, where the soft light drapes across the water and surrounding villages — an ideal setting for a serene sunset shoot.

September 21: Departure (Official End)
Transfer to Phu Bai Airport for your departure flight, or take a short morning flight to Hanoi to continue with the Northern Landscape Tour if you are joining.
