From the emerald waters of Lake Bled and the dramatic peaks of the Julian Alps to misty valleys, alpine villages, and fairytale forests, Slovenia offers diverse landscapes within easy reach, allowing us to focus more on shooting and less on travel. This tour is crafted for photographers who value light, mood, and storytelling. We’ll work during sunrise and sunset, explore lesser-known viewpoints, and slow down in places where atmosphere matters more than checklists. Along the way, you’ll receive guidance on composition, use of light, and visual narrative, whether you shoot expansive landscapes or intimate details. More than just visiting beautiful locations, this Slovenia Photography Tour is about seeing deeply, photographing intentionally, and coming home with a cohesive body of work that reflects both the place and your personal vision. Hallstatt is a place that feels almost unreal, and this photography tour is designed to capture its quiet magic beyond the postcard. Nestled between a serene alpine lake and towering mountains, Hallstatt offers layered compositions of water, architecture, and light that change beautifully throughout the day and across the seasons. This photography tour focuses on working with mood and atmosphere: early mornings when mist drifts across the lake, soft reflections at sunrise, and intimate details tucked away in narrow streets. October 26: Arrive in Venice, Italy
Arrive at Venice Marco Polo Airport. Take a taxi or bus to your hotel near Mestre station. You should book your own hotel for tonight. Hotel Plaza Mestre is the suggested hotel. October 27: Lake Bled Drive to Lake Bled, Slovenia. Travel time is around 3 hours. Check in at our apartment/hotel near Lake Bled. Shoot around Lake Bled in the afternoon and in the evening. |
October 28: Jamnik
Sunrise shoot in Jamnik (Church of St. Primoz). Midday shoot in Lake Bohinj. Sunset shoot in St. Thomas Church. October 29: Lake Bled, Spicnic Full day of shooting around Slovenia. October 30: Jamnik, Lake Bled Full day of shooting around Slovenia. |
October 31: Hallstatt
Sunrise shoot around Lake Bled. Check out and take a long drive to Hallstatt, Austria. Sunset and dusk shooting in Hallstatt. November 1: Hallstatt Full day of shooting in Hallstatt. November 2: Mestre, Italy Sunrise shoot around Hallstatt. Drive back to Venice. You should book your own hotel in Venice for tonight. Hotel Plaza Mestre is the suggested hotel. End of tour |
