We booked a 17 day trip with this company to see a large area of Japan. This was a private tour for two people. Francis from the outset was efficient with his communication and paperwork, clearly outlining all in an itinerary including hotels and changing hotels and locations if we requested. Full receipts of deposit and payments were issued. The tour focused on a number of regions in Japan and provided opportunities for the photographer as well as the non- photographer. Francis was always on time to collect us and we travelled in a very comfortable large vehicle which accommodated all cases and camera gear. Francis was a calm and safe driver and throughout some of the long journeys we stopped for comfort breaks and food. We saw some amazing sights in Japan and learned a lot more about the country through Francis and the tour. If you are a photographer, Francis will take you for dawn shoots as well as build in rest periods and Francis works exceptionally hard to meet his clients’ needs. The tour included all entrance fees and parking fees. This extensive tour did highlight many areas of Japan and if we were to return we would focus on particular areas and reduce the level of driving involved. In addition from our perspective, we would have liked to have more opportunities to visit less well known/ touristy places which we know Francis is looking into. All in all a very well organised enjoyable trip and we would recommend the company one hundred percent.  - Ruth Grindrod


The tour was very good, it was well organized and always punctual. The places and photo stops have been chosen well and we have been there at the right time. The hotels, we stayed in, have been very good, comfortable, clean and quite luxury, in Bromo (Cemoro Lawang) with a great view, out of the room. Lunch and dinner have been done flexible, depending on the weather and the photo opportunities. Francis, the guide, was friendly and very helpful, the other people were good too and I had a good time, with some great pictures. I just recently joined a photo tour of Mount Pulag by Shutter Adventures Co this March of 2024. It was my first time to join such activity and I gotta say, It was one of the best experiences I've had. The shooting locations are carefully planned and they make sure you arrive at the location right on time for you to have the best possible lighting conditions. The food and accommodation is great and the tour leaders and assistants are outstanding. Very efficient logistics, no time wasted, accommodating, very open, and fun.
