INTRODUCTION
Welcome to our photography tour in the Land of Fire and Ice, Iceland. A land of awe-inspiring beauty and endless photographic opportunities. This tour is designed for photographers of all levels who are seeking to capture the raw and untouched landscapes of Iceland's western fjords, southern coasts and eastern territories, which are known for their dramatic mountain ranges, rugged coastlines, and stunning waterfalls. Led by experienced driver and professional landscape photographer, you will embark on an unforgettable journey through the heart of Iceland's natural wonders. From the rugged peaks of Vestrahorn to the towering mountain of Kirkjufell and majestic glaciers of Vatnajokull, you will witness the unique beauty and untamed wilderness that Iceland is famous for. We will drive from Keflavik to the west to visit Snaefellsnes peninsula and stay for a few days there capturing landscapes around Kirkjufell. Then we will continue our journey back to the south to discover the vast and beautiful southern coast. Then we will journey to the east and photograph epic locations like glacier lagoons, black beach lined with ice and the epic mountain range of Vestrahorn. ITINERARY HIGHLIGHTS

March 14 (Day 0 Arrival in KEF)
Suggested arrival in Keflavik Airport (KEF) in the morning. Possible Blue Lagoon visit and relaxation in the afternoon. Book Aurora Hotel,Konvin Hotel or Courtyard by Marriot. March 15 (Day 1 Official Start / KEF to Kirkufell) Pick up at your hotel around 9:00-10:00 AM. We will drive to our hotel in Snaefellsnes Peninsula and check in. Possible sunset visit in Kirkjufell. Northern Lights chase in the evening. March 16 (Day 2 / Snaefellsnes) Sunrise visit in Kirkjufell. After breakfast, we will drive to further west to photograph more of the Peninsula. We will photograph locations such as Budir Black Church, Arnarstapi cliffs, Londrangar and Ingjaldsholskirkja. Northern Lights chase in the evening. March 17 (Day 3 / Kirkjufell to Vik) Long drive to Vik after doing another sunrise visit at Kirkjufell. In the afternoon we will go to places like Skogafoss waterfalls and Dyrholaey. Northern Lights chase in the evening. |
March 18 (Day 4 Vik to Jokulsarlon)
After visiting Vyk i Myrdal church and Reynisdrangar during sunrise, we will resume our journey to Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon. Possible sunset visit at the Diamond Beach. Northern Lights chase in the evening. March 19 (Day 5 Jokulsarlon) Full day of shooting around Fjallsarlon Lagoon, Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon and Diamond Beach. Northern Lights chase in the evening. Another night in Hali Country Hotel. March 20 (Day 6 Jokulsarlon to Vestrahorn) We will have one more morning shoot in Jokulsarlon before we check out and head to Hofn. Check in at our hotel in Hofn. Sunset shoot in Vestrahorn. Northern Lights chase in the evening. March 21 (Day 7 Vestrahorn, Eystrahorn) Sunrise shoot in Vestrahorn. After lunch, we will drive northeast to photograph Skutafoss in the afternoon and Eystrahorn during sunset. Northern Lights chase in the evening. |
March 22 (Day 8 Vestrahorn to Vik)
After breakfast and one more sunrise visit at Vestrahorn, we will head back to Vik. It will be a long drive. We will check in at our hotel in the afternoon. We will head to Reynisdrangar for sunset shoot. Northern Lights chase in the evening. March 23 (Day 9 Vik to Reykjavik) Head back to Keflavik. Visit Reykjanesta sea stacks, Seljalandsfoss, Godafoss and downtown Reykjavik on the way back to the hotel. Northern Lights chase in the evening. March 24 (Day 10 Official End) Head to Keflavik Airport for departure. |
