ITINERARY HIGHLIGHTS

October 17: Mestre (Day 0 Arrival)
Arrive on this day at Marco Polo Airport, Venice, Italy. You should book your own hotel near Mestre Train Station. Mestre Hotel Plaza or any nearby hotel is a good choice. October 18: Cortina d'Ampezzo (Official Start) We will pick you up at your hotel in Mestre at around 10:00 AM. We will drive to our hotel in Cortina d'Ampezzo. Drive time is around 2 hours. We will have a first sunset shoot at Lago di Antorno and Lago di Misurina. October 19: Cortina d'Ampezzo Prepare for a 30-minute trek in Cinque Torri. We will depart very early from our tour hotel and will drive to the parking near Cinque Torri. We will walk on a gradual slope to the shooting location for around 20-30 minutes. We will have 1-2 hours of shooting time before heading back to the parking lot and driving to our hotel for breakfast. We will rest until we depart in the afternoon for a sunset shoot in Passo di Giau. We will photograph the reflection of Ra Gusela on a small pond. Then, we will walk to another location in Passo di Giau to shoot the panoramic view of the mountain pass. |
October 20: Cortina d'Ampezzo
Another early wake-up call for a sunrise shoot in Lago di Landro, Lago di Dobiacco, and Lago di Braies. We will miss our breakfast this time because this will be a hectic morning. We can have our breakfast at a cafe in Lago di Braies. We will head back to the hotel after. Rest time until we depart for the afternoon shoot. In the afternoon, we will head to Tre Cime. There will be a lot of walking in the afternoon. Prepare to walk 3-4 hours on a generally flat surface in the afternoon, until sunset, as we shoot around the Tre Cime. October 21: Cortina d'Ampezzo Another full day of shooting around Cortina d'Ampezzo. October 22: Val di Funes Last sunrise shoot in Cortina d'Ampezzo. We can either have a repeat shoot at a location or head to Lago di Limides. If we are going to Lago di Limides, there will be a 30-minute walk to the lake. We will head back to the hotel for breakfast and will check out around 10:00 AM. Then, we will drive to our next hotel in Val di Funes, where we will photograph the beautiful town of Maddalena during sunset. |
October 23: Val di Funes
We will drive 5 minutes to our sunrise location. It will be the St. Johanne Church with massive mountains towering behind it. In the afternoon, we will have a repeat shoot at an area overlooking the town of Maddalena or at St. Johanne Church. October 24: Alpe di Siusi Last sunrise shoot in Val di Funes before we check out and head to our hotel in Alpe di Siusi. After check out, we will have a side trip to Seceda. We need to take the cable car up to the Seceda mountains. We will spend our morning there and have lunch overlooking the mountains. After, we will continue our journey to Alpe di Siusi for our sunset shoot location October 25: Alpe di Siusi Another full day in Alpe di Siusi. October 26: Mestre (Day 9 Official End) Last sunrise shoot in the Dolomites. We will head to the same spot in Alpe di Siusi. After that, we will have breakfast, check out, and head back to Venice. Please book your hotel near Mestre station for tonight. We will drop you off at your hotel in the afternoon. We will send you a few hotel suggestions. |
